چکیده
The Universal Filtered Multicarrier (UFMC) waveform technology is one of the promising waveforms for 5G and beyond networks. Owing 2N-point Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) processor at UFMC receiver, computational implementation complexity two times more than conventional Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) receiver system. In this paper, we proposed a simplified structure to reduce as well hardware requirements. received symbol exactly its equivalent after performing FFT decimation operations. which, mathematical model frequency-domain signal rederived processing through decimator, generated with an N-point FFT. Accordingly, decimator are replaced single processor. This approach reduces 50% level hence time. approximately OFDM receiver. Additionally, analyzed comparative performance system model.

Non-uniform sampling point selection in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing receiver with fractional sampling
To achieve diversity with a single antenna, a fractional sampling (FS) scheme in OFDM has been proposed. FS achieves path diversity with a higher sampling rate and multiple demodulation branches. In the previous literatures for FS, the sampling interval is fixed even though the initial phase selection of the sampling has been investigated. The fixed sampling interval limits the diversity gain t...

A novel time domain multiplexed (TDM) spatial division multiplexing (SDM) receiver which allows for the reception of >1 dual polarization mode with a single coherent receiver, and corresponding 4-port oscilloscope, is experimentally demonstrated. Received by two coherent receivers and respective 4-port oscilloscopes, a 3 mode transmission of 28GBaud QPSK, 8, 16, and 32QAM over 41.7km of few-mod...
متن کاملLow-complexity peak-to-average power ratio reduction method for orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing communications
The high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of the transmitted signal is a major drawback of multicarrier transmission such as orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing OFDM. A plethora of PAPR reduction techniques has been reported in the literature. Some of the techniques modify the phase and/or amplitude of symbols in the original symbol alphabet (SA) such as selected mapping and partial tr...
متن کاملAsymmetric Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing
The system described in this paper is an asymmetric adaptation of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). In a conventional OFDM system, the signal processing hardware is divided equally between the base station and the terminal. In the asymmetric system, most of the complex signal processing hardware is shifted to the base station, making the terminal a simpler and more power-effici...
متن کاملAn Introduction to Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is one of the latest modulation techniques used in order to combat the frequency-selectivity of the transmission channels, achieving high data rate without inter–symbol interference. The basic principle of OFDM is gaining a wide spread popularity within the wireless transmission community. Furthermore, OFDM is one of the main techniques proposed...
